BREAKING NEWS
It was just announced that the soon to be renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios will not be offering Stars Wars Weekends in 2016. There will not be sufficient space to accommodate many signature events previously offered due to the upcoming construction of Star Wars Land. No word on if this is a permanent end to Star Wars Weekends, or if they are set to return at a later time. However young Padawan, don't give into your hate because Disney has something better to offer! Read more to find out!

Starting this month Disney will begin launching Star Wars: Season of the Force! November 16th, 2015 will be the debut of Disneyland's attractions, and January 8th, 2016 will be the launch of Walt Disney World's attractions. This is not a permanent event and it will only run a few months. This event WILL REPLACE Star Wars Weekends this year. Star Wars Weekends normally debut in or around May, so this does not coincide with the timing of a typical Star Wars Weekend. Among the attractions you will be able to experience will be our previously announced Star Wars Launch Bay!
Star Wars Launch Bay will offer unique shopping experiences, previews of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie by offering special exhibits, behind the scenes sneak peaks, and never before opportunities to interact with Darth Vader and Chewbacca!
Other planned attraction include an updated Jedi Training Academy, specialty themed food locations, Star Wars themed fireworks set to the score of your favorite Star Wars music, featured locations from The Force Awakens on Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, and Hyper Space Mountain! An update to a classic attraction... Space mountain will allow guest to join in on a X-Wing Starfighter battle! I'm very interested to see how much of the original attraction will be updated, or if there will just be projections on the ceiling of a battle taking place. Either way I'm sure it will be tasteful and true to the Original attraction, and the Star Wars Brand.
