Its not very often that I post about an "arm chair imagineer" that I have, but something hit me today that I was really excited to share! If you have visted the Magic Kingdom lately you know that you can meet Mickey Mouse at the Town Square Theater right on Main Street USA. This particular meet and greet is very magical because not only are you meeting the Mouse himself, but Mickey actually talks to you! Now, this idea is a way to add a special memory for children old enough to understand cell phones, selfies, texting, etc.
During the newest holiday stage show the Fab Five are trying to track down Donald by texting him on stage using giant "character sized" cell phones. This concept is a way to modernize the characters and bring them into today's day of communication and technology. This is what inspired my idea. Let's combine these 2 things.... The meet and greet and a cell phone.
Picture this:
Mickey- "Hiya Pal! Come on over! Say... you know something? I have a cell phone too! Mind if I take a selfie with you? Say cheese! Oh boy! That looks GREAT! I'll text it to you!"
Disney already has your number from your reservation and or you could provide it for these type of experiences, dinner reservation reminders or fast pass reminders throughout the day, etc.
I think this would be very memorable for tweens and adults alike! What do you think!?
