In recent weeks many of the resorts have replaced their refillable mugs with a streamlined version which does not include a handle. I for one am very happy about this change because it allows me to easily stow the mug in the side pouch of my backpack. However, others are not so enthusiastic about this updated version of their beloved souvenir because of the difficultly this presents in carrying multiple mugs around the resort. Well, we have the answer to your refillable woes!
Upset? We Have Your Affordable Fix!
For our upcoming trip I purchased a set of tumbler handles. You simply slip your resort mug into the tumbler handle, and AbracadaBAR! You have a refillable mug that can be carried to and from your resort for a low low price of $2.50 each...
I purchased mine here, help us out and purchase yours through the link below:The Main Street Elecrical Parade returned to The Magic Kingdom in 2010 for a "limited engagement" as part of the Summer Nightastic promotion. The updated show included new LED lighting, new audio technology and 3 new floats (Tinkerbell's, Snow White's, and Pinocchio's). Due to the extreme popularity of the updated parade the "summer-long" return of this performance was extended far beyond its original expectation. Sadly every parade runs its course and this one has run the same course over, and over, and over again.
Disneyland is currently winding down on its Diamond Celebration and the current nighttime parade (Paint the Night) will end its nightly performances on September 5th, 2016. It's rumored that Paint the Night will continue performances at Disneyland for special events, so this might indicate that we will not expect to see Paint the Night shift over to The Magic Kingdom unless they would be willing to reproduce the floats in Florida. There is no official word on what, if anything, will be replacing the evening parade in the Magic Kingdom but we will update this post as more information becomes available. In a controversial announcement at San Diego Comic-con Disney released plans to retheme the 12 year old DCA attraction Tower of Terror to a Marvel ride based off of Guardians of the Galaxy. This fresh coat of paint will be called "Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!" The current attraction is set to close in January 2017 so that it can be transformed from a hotel into the Collector's fortress. The Guardians will be on display as captors and it will be our mission to assist Rocket Racoon to free the rest of the crew. You can expect the ride system to remain pretty much the same. However, the fall will now be set to iconic music from the movie soundtrack and will rock, rise and fall to the beat of the music! The new (cough.. rethemed) attraction is expected to open in the summer of 2017. NOTE: The Florida version at Disney's Hollywood Studios is not changing. This announcement is only for Disney's California Adventure location.Did you know that when Disney's MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Stuios) first opened it boasted the worlds largest Hidden Mickey!? |
